Emperor penguins travel long distances across the ice to find open water to feed, and with the capabilities of the icebreaker hopefully see them in their rookeries as well as on the ice edge in their battle for survival. Great care will be taken not to jeopardize the integrity of these beautiful birds - there are well-established guidelines when moving around fragile wildlife areas such as these.

Although the focus of the expedition is the majestic Emperor, the aim will be to visit other penguin colonies on the Antarctic Peninsula and take in as much of the spectacular White Continent as possible.
Route of Voyage
Please note the voyage route and daily itinerary is subject to ice and weather conditions therefore flexibility is the key to enjoying your expedition voyage to the full. Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.
This voyage starts and finishes in Ushuaia. As such, opportunities for extending your stay in Argentina or South America in general are extensive. Due to the considerable variety of choice of airlines and stopovers en route to your port of departure, flights are not included and are offered and quoted on a tailor-made basis.
