Arctic Holidays
About Us
Why book with us - the Specialists!
In the competitive world of selling holidays, many claim to be the best in their field. We don't, mainly because we don't need to. The prestigious travel industry award we have received, together with the positive feedback of 95% of our clients suggest that we are well on the right track! Here are some of the things we believe are important when you book your holiday:
Personal service
We have an unusually high staff to passenger ration so we can spend more care and attention on each booking. We won't try and sell you a holiday that you don't want - in fact if you can't find exactly what you're looking for in the brochure or on the website, our staff will tailor the holiday to your needs. They'll offer clear, concise and honest advice. You can come and see us, telephone us or contact us by fax or email.
Expert knowledge & experience
We really do know the places we travel to. Our destinations are interesting and unusual but they're not always the easiest to travel around. We use our knowledge to do the groundwork, taking the hassle out of your holiday so that you enjoy it to the full. And, with 19 years experience of running holidays to this region, we are pretty confident we know what makes a good holiday.
Our office team
Our UK office comprises 35 full time staff, including several Icelanders and numerous travel industry professionals. Their diverse backgrounds, experience and enthusiasm are a tremendous asset. Moreover, our on-going training programmes ensure that your holiday is in the hands of qualified people at all times.
Unique choice of holidays
Many of our holidays are designed by us, are unique to us and are only available in our brochure. They include most of our range of escorted holidays, which commentary is given only in English and the majority of participants are from the UK. We also offer holidays arranged by a few selected operators, who in our opinion adhere to the same high standards as we do. On these holidays, and on our independent holidays with excursions, you can expect a mixed nationality group and commentary in several languages, including English.
Book direct
Other than in exceptional circumstances and by prior agreement, we do not accept bookings through travel agents. Any saving in travel agents' commission is invested in our first rate service, in-depth brochures and back up information.
Book with confidence and security
We are licensed and bonded by the Civil Aviation Authority under ATOL 2896 for the financial protection of air holidays. We are members of the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) and the Association of Independent Tour Operators (AITO). In addition, we have a bond with AITO Trust Ltd, the organisation set up by the Association of Independent Tour Operators for your financial protection. In order to hold these licenses and memberships, we have to continually satisy the rigorous standards of all these organisations, and in addition, provide a number of bonds - all of which protects the money you have paid us, come what may!
Looking after you on holiday
Once you arrive in your destination, our local staff, reprsentatives and guides are there to make sure everything goes smoothly. Our guides' backgrounds are as diverse as they are interesting - they include teachers, actors, linguists, mountaineers and artists - but they are united in their enthusiasm for their country.
Need to know more?
Holiday enquiries and bookings can be made by post, telephone, fax or email. Or, call in and see us to discuss your holiday. To be sure that the right person is available to answer queries on the destination or holiday you have in mind, it would be helpful if you could make an appointment before your visit.
