Experience the beauty of the British Isles with a wildlife cruise off the remote coastline of Scotland. Sail between Aberdeen and Oban on this stunning voyage. Embark in Aberdeen and sail past the unspoilt islands of Orkney, Shetland and the Hebrides, aboard former research vessel Grigory Mikheev. The channels between the Scottish Islands offer excellent possibilities to spot minke whales, white-beaked dolphins and harbour porpoises. Several other cetaceans, including orcas (killer whales), are also native to these waters.
You will explore the spectacular scenery of north-west Scotland’s coastline and see a vast array of wildlife on this breathtaking cruise. The stunning Scottish Islands provide a vivid contrast to the rugged moorland of the Highlands, with rolling landscapes, ancient ruins and dramatic cliffs alive with birds. At sea look out for seals and other fascinating sealife. Landing ashore explore these beautiful British Isles and meet some of the locals living in these remote areas.
Please note that the voyage departing 21st May 2008 travels in the reverse direction - from Oban and to Aberdeen.
