This 14-day icebreaker expedition attempts to sail to the highest latitudes of the Canada Arctic into the Lincoln Sea. Landings are intended on Ellesmere Island, Greenland and Baffin Island.
Route of Voyage
Please note the voyage route and daily itinerary is subject to weather conditions therefore flexibility is the key to enjoying your expedition voyage to the full. Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.
This voyage commences in Ottawa with a pre-voyage overnight, before the charter flight the next day to Resolute, where you will step aboard the icebreaker Kapitan Khlebnikov. The itinerary onboard the icebreaker takes in the breathtaking Canadian Arctic and Greenland. Finally the Kapitan Khlebnikov returns to Resolute, and following disembarkation you will fly south to Ottawa for a final overnight before bidding farewell to your fellow passengers (and the flight home). We are able to offer competitive rates with Air Canada for flights between the UK and Ottawa. These are offered on a tailor-made basis to allow us to quote the best price at the time of booking; please contact our team to discuss your travel plans.
Day 1: Ottawa, Canada
Day 2: Fly to Resolute to embark.
Day 3-4: Lancaster Sound
Day 5-7: Western Greenland and the Lincoln Sea, north of 80°
Day 8-10: Ellesmere Island
Day 11-12: Coburg Island
Day 13: From Resolute to Ottawa.
Day 14: Depart for home.
