Reykjavik Youth Hostel
A modern and well-appointed hostel to the east of the city centre and adjacent to Reykjavik's main outdoor swimming pool complete with hot pots. There are 170 beds in rooms of various sizes. Most have shared shower and WC facilities and some are en suite. There is a teaching room and video facilities. Breakfast is included and packed lunches are available. On the first evening they provide a buffet supper using traditional recipes. Used by Budget Scheme groups.
Hotel Cabin
A pleasant, modern budget hotel with 182 twin en suite rooms (increasing to 252 rooms in June 2007) where sleeping bags may be used in the off-season. Breakfast is provided and supper may be taken in the Salat Bar Eika inside the hotel. A conference room is available on request. Used by Budget Scheme groups.
