Flight Supplements
The prices in this brochure are based on the lowest fares available. All airlines operate a system whereby as the aircraft fills up, the airfares increase. Should the lowest fare be unavailable a supplement will be applicable, which will be confirmed to you prior to booking your trip.
The Airlines
Icelandair, operating out of Heathrow, Glasgow and Manchester, is a full service airline providing in-flight entertainment, complimentary hot meals, soft drinks and pre-assigned seating. Iceland Express is a ‘low cost airline’ and operates out of Stansted. Meals and drinks are charged extra and seating is assigned at check-in. British Airways flies to Iceland from Gatwick and provides complimentary meals and drinks, but there is no in-flight entertainment and seats are assigned at check-in. To Namibia we use the services of Air Namibia, with in-flight meals, drinks and entertainment provided.
Baggage Allowance
Free baggage allowance is 44 lbs (20 kg) to Iceland and Namibia and two pieces across the Atlantic.
Airport Transfers
Airport transfers are included in the cost of all of our Iceland and Namibia tours as is your onward bus transport unless otherwise stated. In New York transportation is via the subway system.
Passports & Visas
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months following your arrival at the foreign destination. No visas are required by British subjects (being "Citizen of the United Kingdom"), or any citizen of an EC country, Australia, New Zealand, Canada or the United States (check eligibility under USA visa waiver programme www.usembassy.org.uk) for travel to Iceland or Namibia. All British passport holders travelling to the USA under the Visa Waiver Programme require their own machine-readable passport. Anyone without a machine-readable passport will need a Visa to travel to the USA. If you do not fall into one of these categories please call the embassy of the country to be visited. We would be pleased to provide telephone numbers.
Health Information
No inoculations are required for visitors to Iceland or the United States. For travel to Namibia inoculations against Hepatitis A, Typhoid Fever and Polio are recommended. In the rainy season between January and April, there is a malaria risk in the northern part of the country. The European Health Insurance Card entitles you to reduced-cost, sometimes free, medical treatment that may become necessary while you’re in a European Economic Area (EEA) country.
