Scuba Diving in Iceland

Introduction

Scuba diving takes on a whole new dimension in Iceland. You’ll find the visibility unbelievable as you dive in some of the clearest water on earth. And you’ll be amazed by the dive sites on offer: how about a volcanic rift on the floor of a crystal-clear lake, a thermal chimney in a sub-arctic fjord and a World War II wreck?

Diving Around Iceland (7 nights)

A unique way to experience Iceland, both above and under water in a small group with like minded travellers. Based on 7 nights in guesthouse and farm accommodation in shared rooms. Dives are guided and tanks and weights are included.

Diving the Tectonic Rift (Day Trip)

Duration: 4 hours Price: £196 per person. Daily departures year round at 09:00 – minimum 2 passengers

A must do for every diver visiting Iceland. If you are a certified diver, with or without a dry suit experience, this tour is for you! It will give you the opportunity to dive in one of the world’s most unique dive sites, Silfra, which situated in the National Park Thingvellir.

Diving under the midnight sun

Between June and 15 July you can also dive in the midnight sun. Departure from Reykjavik at 21:00 – Price: £236

Snorkeling

Non divers can snorkel the same route as the divers and due to the perfect visibility, you get an excellent view of the rift and the vibrant colours in the lake. Price £120 per person.
