| Iceland is a great destination for children. Here in nature’s own theme park, the adventures are real!
Not quite a circular route, this itinerary cuts across part of the craggy interior but still travels around a large part of the country. You might think that kilometres in the car could be boring. Well think again. These days many children and teenagers rely on electronic entertainment and whilst we don’t condone bringing such handheld units, we think it would be a pity not to utilise the landmarks and features outside, in some good old-fashioned family fun! For this reason, every booking on this holiday will receive their usual route description but with the added bonus of some tried and tested ideas that some of us here with children, have found helps pass the time.
In view of the route for this trip, we book using 4WD vehicles only and these, on the rugged, unpaved sections of road, provide enough entertainment in themselves!
This is an engaging trip that will get everyone talking – and with so much to share during the fortnight, you’ll be talking about it for years to come…
Please note the river rafting takes place at different locations and the grade will be determined according to the size/age of your party eg. families with younger children will go rafting on a more gentle stretch of the river.
