Canada's Group of Seven

The landscapes of Ontario as well as the rest of Canada feature heavily in the artwork of the Group of Seven, a set of Canadian artists of the 1920s who produced a number of impressionist-style paintings depicting the Muskoka region and Algonquin Park, as well as other locations throughout Ontario and nationwide.

Permanent collections of artwork by the Group of Seven can be found in Toronto's Art Gallery of Ontario, Ottawa's National Gallery of Canada and the excellent McMichael Canadian Art Collection which is located just north of Toronto.
