This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established, successful and forward thinking specialist tour operator as a Digital Marketing Executive. As an experienced copywriter and online marketing professional, you'll join a busy marketing team taking responsibility foremost for the daily management of our email marketing and social media output, as well as supporting the website, SEM and other digital marketing activities. A key responsibility of this role, you will devise and implement email programs, including weekly e-newsletters and customer lifecycle campaigns. This is a hands on role and you will be required to manage the email marketing process from start to finish.
You will also be required to manage the company's social networking profiles and acting as a brand ambassador, will curate and monitor conversations across multiple channels. You will have proven experience of working with social media and will work with the rest of the online marketing team to develop and deliver a social media strategy for Discover the World.
An articulate and competent writer, you will be responsible for the company's blogs as well as interacting with third party websites for content outreach and link building opportunities. You will have proven experience of working within Digital Marketing and be comfortable with learning new technologies and have basic analytic skills to ensure you are best placed to understand the online performance of any marketing activity you are responsible for. With a keen interest in your own professional development, you will be aware of current trends and developments and will actively seek new opportunities for the company to explore.Who we're looking for:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent marketing qualification
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a marketing or copywriting position
- Proven experience of working with email marketing and social media
- Basic knowledge of SEO and PPC a basic requirement
- Sound organisation skills and flexibility, with experience of managing multiple work streams
- Excellent English communication skills (written - including copywriting and verbal)
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience of working in the travel industry is desirable but not essential
