Direct Marketing Manager

We are looking for a Direct Marketing Manager to join our fast paced and dynamic team.  Primary responsibility will be to oversee and coordinate all offline marketing activities and campaigns, this will include managing relationships with all offline marketing suppliers. Working together with the Marketing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing, managing and implementing a direct marketing and communications plan to increase retention, recommendations and acquisition across all channels ensuring a seamless integration of offline activities with online presence. You will also be involved in the selection, implementation and management of a CRM system. You have budget responsibility and will be expected to achieve targets and demonstrate success against ROI. There are two staff reporting into this role.  

The Direct Marketing Manager will be responsible for overseeing our presence at events and exhibitions and working together with the Senior Digital Marketing Manager (SDMM) & the PR Manager to coordinate all partnership marketing campaigns and promotions.

Who we're looking for:

  • Experience in a senior marketing position or as a marketing manager
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of direct marketing, CRM, customer recruitment and retention.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent marketing qualification
  • Excellent copy writing skills, a strong attention to detail and creative flair
  • Sound organisation skills and flexibility, with experience of managing multiple work streams
  • Excellent English communication skills (written - including copywriting and verbal)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to thrive on working in a pressurised environment and to strict deadlines
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Proven ability to mentor and supervise staff

Account Manager (home & office based) 

Account Manager: North of England and Scotland

This is an exciting, new opportunity to join our Education Team taking responsibility for retaining and generating new and existing business within Northern England and Scotland, which will involve in school visits and some evening presentations. You will upsell DTWE’s entire product portfolio, through a variety of sales channels. You will work closely with the department’s office based Travel Specialists to help convert enquiries and deliver a high level of customer service.

Our ideal candidate will be a natural networker who will have previous experience of fielding outbound and inbound enquiries over the telephone, face to face and via email.  You will be confident in liaising with teachers and senior management in schools to discuss trip requirements and provide excellent customer service throughout the sales cycle.  You will have a keen interest in education and have an awareness of curriculum developments and changes within KS3/4/5 in both geography and science.

Ticketing and Operations Executive

We have an opportunity to join our expanding Operations Team as a Ticketing and Operations Executive.  As an experienced professional you will use your GDS (Amadeus) skills and knowledge of net and published fares to ensure the best possible service is provided to our customers.  You will be required to work on complex air itineraries and ensure all travel tickets and documents are issued, whilst using your organisational skills to ensure deadlines are achieved. 

Who we're looking for:

  • GDS Fares and Ticketing Qualification
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience of booking worldwide travel using GDS
  • Proven experience of issuing, re-issuing and performing re-calculations of international and domestic airlines
  • Experience of working for a specialist tour operator in a similar role
  • Sound organisation skills and flexibility, with experience of managing multiple work streams
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
In addition to a competitive salary commensurate with experience, we also offer: 20 days holiday; discounted holidays for you, your friends & family. Hours are 9am-5pm Monday-Friday plus 48 hours contracted overtime throughout the year. Ticketing staff also provide emergency call out for ticketing issues out of hours and at the weekend.
