Current Vacancies

Travel Specialist - North America

As Travel Specialist North America your geographical areas of expertise will be Canada and Alaska (plus USA, although this is not essential). Your responsibility will be to design and tailor holidays specific to your customer's requirements and deliver sales and the highest level of customer service. You will maintain excellent product knowledge of the destinations you are selling to affirm the status of a destination specialist. You will work within our tailor-made team and will be supported administratively by the Travel Specialists in the Operations Department.

Essential Experience required for this role:
  • Tailor-made sales knowledge and experience within a travel sales environment.
  • Proven experience of meeting and exceeding sales and performance targets.
  • High degree of flexibility and ability to deal with change, growth and pressurised deadlines.
  • Exceptional sales ability – closing, converting, up-selling and cross selling.
  • Excellent eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Able to demonstrate teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong customer service focus and skills
  • Able to demonstrate influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills to intermediate standard.
  • Be dynamic and able to self-manage
  • A passion for travel and foreign cultures
  • Destination knowledge of Canada and Alaska (+ USA although not essential)

Hours of work
8am to 8pm on rota basis (Shift patterns are: 8am to 4pm / 9am to 5pm / 10am to 6pm / 11am to 7pm and 12pm to 8pm Monday to Friday (35 hours per week plus Saturdays). No more than 1 in 2 Saturdays per month - 12 Saturdays (48 hours) included in overall hours, lieu time given for extra Saturdays worked. NB generally Saturday hours are 9-1 pm between April and August and 9-5 pm between September and March, but hours may change dependent on business requirements.

Account Manager (home & office based) 

Account Manager: North of England and Scotland

This is an exciting, new opportunity to join our Education Team taking responsibility for retaining and generating new and existing business within Northern England and Scotland, which will involve in school visits and some evening presentations. You will upsell DTWE’s entire product portfolio, through a variety of sales channels. You will work closely with the department’s office based Travel Specialists to help convert enquiries and deliver a high level of customer service.

Our ideal candidate will be a natural networker who will have previous experience of fielding outbound and inbound enquiries over the telephone, face to face and via email.  You will be confident in liaising with teachers and senior management in schools to discuss trip requirements and provide excellent customer service throughout the sales cycle.  You will have a keen interest in education and have an awareness of curriculum developments and changes within KS3/4/5 in both geography and science.
