Digital Marketing Executive

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established, successful and forward thinking specialist tour operator as a Digital Marketing Executive. As an experienced copywriter and marketing professional, you'll join a busy marketing team taking responsibility foremost for the daily management of our website content and search engine marketing, but also ongoing email marketing and social media activity.

A digitally-savvy candidate, you will be required to maintain and update the company’s website content, liaising with internal Product and Marketing teams to ensure the content is accurate, compelling for readers and well optimised for search engines. You’ll also be involved in writing copy and selecting visual assets for our email marketing campaigns, company blog and other digital activities, including social media. Intrinsic to your role will be the ongoing management of the company’s search engine marketing, including writing copy for paid search ads across Google and Bing.

You will have proven experience of working within Digital Marketing and be comfortable with learning new technologies and have basic analytic skills to ensure you are best placed to understand the online performance of any marketing activity you are responsible for. With a keen interest in your own professional development, you will be aware of current trends and developments and will actively seek new opportunities for the company to explore.

Who we're looking for:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent marketing qualification
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a marketing or copywriting position
  • Excellent copy writing skills, a strong attention to detail and creative flair
  • Proven experience of working with website content management systems
  • Sound organisation skills and flexibility, with experience of managing multiple work streams
  • Excellent English communication skills (written - including copywriting and verbal)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience of working in the travel industry is desirable but not essential

Travel Specialist - Operations

Within this role you will undertake various supportive administration functions (including confirming travel arrangements, creating and dispatching customer documentation, general office services, customer service responses and ticketing). You will provide direct support to fellow Travel Specialists (Sales) and be responsible for customer service communications and providing a high level of specialised and personal service throughout the booking process. This role may also include working as part of the sales team.

Who we're looking for:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience of a customer service role.
  • Proven experience of meeting and exceeding set performance targets.
  • A strong focus on customer service.
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Destination knowledge of any of the following:- NZ, Australia, Canada, Alaska, Scandinavia, Iceland and Polar regions, desirable but not essential.

Hours of work
Shift patterns are: 8am to 4pm / 9am to 5pm / 10am to 6pm / 11am to 7pm Monday to Friday (35 hours per week plus Saturdays).
No more than 1 in 2 Saturdays per month - 12 Saturdays (48 hours) included in overall hours, lieu time given for extra Saturdays worked. NB generally Saturday hours are 9-1 pm between April and August and 9-5 pm between September and March, but hours may change dependent on business requirements.

Travel Specialist - Education

As a Travel Specialist you will be responsible for handling reservations over the telephone and via e-mail, whilst dealing with the administration of your bookings. Initially you will specialise in our Iceland and Italy products, with the prospect of specialising in other products at a later date.

Who we're looking for:

  • Minimum 3 years' proven track record of sales and operations within a similar role.
  • High degree of flexibility and ability to deal with change, growth and pressurised deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately; good level of numeracy and excellent spoken and written English.
  • Strong customer service, influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Competent use of MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to develop relationships at all levels
  • Knowledge of the destinations we offer would be an advantage
