| At
the Reykjavik Food & Fun Festival (29 Feb-4 March) top international
chefs create gourmet menus in some of the best restaurants in
town. Also this month, on Shrove Tuesday, known as Sprengidagur
(Bursting Day), huge feasts of salted meat and peas are enjoyed
throughout
the
country. Beer was only legalised in 1989, so on Beer Day (1 March),
it is celebrated and drunk in abundance! |
