Norway Travel Consultant | Schools Travel Specialist

Norway Travel Consultant

Based at our offices in Banstead, we are looking for a highly motivated and eloquent sales professional to join our leading Nordic team. The ideal candidate must have specialist and in-depth knowledge of Norway, with tailor-made sales experience, preferably two years or more with an independent specialist tour operator. As a Travel Consultant, you will handle reservations over the telephone, face-to-face and email/internet, to a wide-ranging and demanding client base, providing a high level of specialised and personal service from the initial enquiry stage through to departure, dealing with all aspects of the booking and administration process.

Essential Requirements
Comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of Norway
Minimum 2 years previous tour operating/tailor-made sales experience

Hours of work
9-5pm or 10-6pm rota Monday to Friday (35 hours per week plus Saturdays)
No more than 1 in 2 Saturdays per month - 12 Saturdays (48 hours) included in overall hours, lieu time given for extra Saturdays worked. NB: current Saturday hours are 9-1, but hours may change dependent on business requirements.

Schools Travel Specialist

Based at our offices in Banstead, we are looking for a highly motivated and eloquent sales professional to join our Schools and Groups Department. The ideal candidate must have previous sales experience within a tour operator (preferably an independent specialist tour operator). As a Travel Specialist, you will handle reservations over the telephone, by email and occasionally face-to-face, to a wide-ranging and demanding client base, providing a high level of specialised and personal service. You will work in a small, friendly team of consultants, supported by the team managers.

Essential Requirements
• Preferably 2 years’ experience working for a specialist tour operator and experience in a similar role.
• Attention to detail and ability to work accurately; excellent spoken and written English are essential.
• Teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Influencing and negotiating skills
• Computer knowledge, including basic practical skills using Microsoft Word and Excel
• High degree of flexibility and ability to deal with change, growth and pressure
• Extensive and proven knowledge of any of the educational destinations we offer will be a distinct advantage.
