Standard Log cabin
The Arctic open-plan cabins sleep 2-4 and have a double bed, bunk beds, a private bathroom and sauna, kitchenette and dining area.
The Nordic open-plan cabins sleep 2 in a double bed and are more spacious than the above. They have a private bathroom and sauna, kitchenette and lounge area.
The Polar two bedroom cabins sleep up to 5. These are spacious with a kitchenette, lounge and dining area, a bedroom with bunk beds, a bedroom with a double bed with ensuite bathroom and private sauna. They also have a second bathroom.
Note bathrooms consist of a WC, wash basin and ‘wet room’ shower. Bunk beds sleep one in the upper bed and the lower bed is large enough for two children. All cabins have an open fire and a small charge is made locally for logs.
Traditional Finnish House
Just behind the main building is a delightful yellow, wooden house built and decorated in a typical style. It sleeps two, is quite spacious and evokes a feeling of a bygone era - all the fixtures and fittings may resemble a living museum but the ambience is charming and full of character.
Honeymoon Cabin
This traditional turf cabin is understandably quite different to the others. It has a specially designed bed (with an unusual feature which will be revealed on arrival!), a bathroom with a ‘starry night sky’ ceiling, free standing roll top bath and a private sauna. As there is no lounge area, the open fire is in the bedroom.
Queen Suite
The ultimate choice! This spacious open-plan cabin has an impressive 4-poster bed, velvet drapes through to a bathroom with a rain shower and roll top bath, a kitchenette with breakfast bar, a comfortable lounge area with open fire, a large sofa scattered with lots of handcrafted cushions, a private sauna and the addition of a private outdoor hot tub. This very special cabin is available as an upgrade.
Ice Room
These sleep up to 4 in polar sleeping bags on single mattresses covered with woollen throws, on top of a large ice bed. The rooms are illuminated and are situated across the frozen river from the main reception (about a 5 minute walk) and are either within the ice building which houses the chapel or in a separate ice ‘block.’ The interior temperatures are maintained between 0°C and -6°C. During your night here, luggage will be stored in lockers near reception. Heated washroom facilities are located nearby. Ice rooms are open from mid January.
Glass Igloo
These amazing structures are set amongst the trees, behind the ice rooms and sleep 2 in single beds, although a third bed can be added for a child. They have a WC and wash basin. Heated washroom facilities are located nearby. These are very popular and tend to get booked up early!
