Bedrooms
All rooms are lovingly designed for your comfort and wellbeing. There are 14 rooms in all, all double with en suite facilities, television and internet connections. Extra beds can be installed in nine of the rooms. All are fitted with elegant and comfortable furniture and decorated with modern Icelandic works of art.
Works by leading Icelandic artists of the twentieth century adorn the walls of room. Eight rooms are dedicated to particular artists and named after them: the painters Arnar Herbertsson, Bragi Ásgeirsson, Georg Guðni Hauksson, Jóhanna Kristín Yngvadóttir, Jón Engilberts, Karl Kvaran, Óskar Magnússon and Þorvaldur Skúlason.
From the rooms there is a view across the river Varmá, the hot springs on its banks and beyond to Mt. Reykjafjall and the valleys Reykjadalur, Grændalur and Gufudalur above Hveragerði. Each room is a world unto itself by the riverside, full of Icelandic art amidst the glories of Icelandic nature.
