This charming hotel is about a two hour drive from Reykjavik, in a wonderful rural location overlooking the East Ranga river. With superb uninterrupted 360° views for miles around, it isn't surprising that the area is blessed with some truly amazing displays of the northern lights during the months September to mid March. The picturesque surroundings include views of Mt Hekla, mountain ranges, glaciers and the Westman Islands. Well known for its excellent personal service and ambience its the perfect place to relax and enjoy all the attractions, activities and historic places that South Iceland has to offer.

The stunning new World Pavilion suites are themed on the six continents - Africa, Antarctica, Australia, South America, North America and Asia, plus the Royal Suite - and are superbly appointed with amazing attention to detail. The en suite bedrooms are located in two single storey wings either side of the public area. They are very tastefully decorated and include a TV, mini-bar and seating area plus all bathrooms have a bathtub and shower.

There is an acclaimed gourmet restaurant noted for its extensive wine list and first class international cuisine, a comfortable lounge, a games room, massage facilities, and of course the much loved outdoor hot tubs for all to enjoy!
