As the name would suggest, this hotel is located in the historic centre of the city, on one of its oldest streets. The 89 comfortable rooms feature quality furnishings and an elegant décor. Consisting of an original building dating from 1764, blended with two adjacent wings constructed in a similar style, the Centrum has a basement museum built around archaeological remains of a Viking longhouse dating back to 871AD - the oldest in Iceland!
