Introduction to The Lava House
The Lava house has a fully equipped kitchen, a very large open-plan living and dining area and two bathrooms with shower/WC. There is a gas barbeque and two sets of golf clubs for guests to use - the nearest golf club being just 16 miles away. To the front of the house is a garden with a childrens play area and plenty of parking space.

To the back, which has an open area down to the river, a timber deck with a secluded hot tub provides a great place to end the day. And in fact, sitting neck deep in hot bubbling water whilst admiring the scenery, bathed in the wonderful golden light of the midnight sun, or under the surreal northern lights in the winter months, is an Icelandic habit you'll find hard to break.
The house is surrounded by sweeping views across the Adaldalur valley. This is truly one of the best-appointed self-catering houses in Iceland and is owned by Discover the World and used solely for our clients.
