The en suite accommodation at the Abisko Mountain Station is comfortable and welcoming and affords the opportunity to keep checking on the northern lights throughout the night. This can be done from your window, a cosy lounge with log fire and huge windows or by just standing outside and gazing! There is a very nice restaurant (offering a dinner buffet or an à la carte menu), which also doubles as the breakfast room, with panoramic views over Lake Tornetrask and the mountains beyond. There is also a basement bar ideal for a warming drink after a chair-lift ride up the mountain to the Aurora Sky Station where you can peruse the aurora exhibit, warm up in the café and fingers crossed, stand spellbound beneath impressive displays of the lights.
