Getting Around

Your choice of method of exploration of Australia is likely to be based on both preference and time. An excellent domestic flight network makes long distances easily achievable, whilst travelling by rail or road enables you to enjoy a closer view of the country’s diverse landscapes.
DOMESTIC FLIGHTS
Due to the long distances involved, flying is a great way to travel within Australia if you are short of time or should you wish to focus your time in specific regions. Qantas is the largest domestic operator offering extensive routes throughout Australia. Other domestic airlines include Virgin Blue, Jetstar and the regional airline Skywest in Western Australia. Trans Tasman services between Australia and New Zealand are also numerous and affordable.
SELF DRIVE
We can offer vehicle rental across Australia, providing the ideal means for independent exploration of this intriguing country. Australians drive on the left, with speed limits shown in kilometres. Away from the cities traffic is very light, but you will need to ensure you have plenty of fuel if driving in the Outback as roadhouses can be few and far between! We offer a number of short self-drive packages to take in the highlights between major cities; alternatively we would be happy to assist you in creating your own bespoke itinerary.
