The prices shown for our Australia holidays do not include flights to allow for the extensive choice of routes and fares available for travel to Australia, which is almost unlimited. There are also many stopover options and given that almost all of our clients choose to tailor their holiday to some extent we prefer to quote for flights based on individual requirements.

BOOKING FLIGHTS
Once you have an idea of your Australia travel arrangements simply telephone or email us for a quotation for your flights. We’ll need to know the following information: 

- your planned departure and return dates 
- desired stopovers on either or both journeys 
- preferred airline or preferred route (one will often dictate the other) 
- your favoured cabin class (economy, premium or business)

There is no such thing as a standard price for flights to Australia, costs vary according to time of year, route flown and offers available however a reasonable indication of air fare costs is £600-900 (excluding airport taxes) based on economy class.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS

PASSPORT & VISA INFORMATION
Australia does not have a minimum passport validity requirement for incoming passengers, but if you intend onward travel to other countries in the region, please note that entry into, or transit through, some countries may be refused if your passport has less than six months validity.  Visas are required for all travel to Australia. We can arrange a visitor visa (an Electronic Travel Authority - ETA) on your behalf, this costs £10 to process. 

British passport holders do not require a visa for entry into New Zealand, but your passport should be valid for 3 months beyond the date on which you intend to depart New Zealand.

All British passport holders travelling via the USA using a passport issued on or after 26 October 2006 on the Visa Waiver Programme (VWP) must have an ‘e-Passport’ (biometric passport), which contains an integrated chip capable of storing the biographic information from the data page, a digitised photograph and other biometric information. If the passport was issued between 26 October 2005 and 25 October 2006 a Machine Readable Passport (MRP) containing a digital photograph is required.  Anyone without a Machine Readable Passport will need a Visa to travel to the USA. Children and infants must have their own individual Machine Readable Passports.

If you are travelling under the Visa Waiver Programme from 12 January 2009 you must also have Travel Authorisation to the United States. You can receive authorisation by completing the online form at the US Department of Homeland Security and a decision will normally be made within seconds. Although authorisation will only become compulsory in 2009 you will be able to apply voluntarily from the beginning of August 2008. It is recommended that you do so to familiarise yourself with the new system.

DEPARTURE TAX
Departure tax is not charged at Australian airports as this fee is incorporated into airfares to Australia. Subject to change.

AIRLINE INFORMATION
Our preferred airlines are British Airways/Qantas, Emirates and Air New Zealand, however we can also offer flights with many others, including Virgin Atlantic and Singapore Airlines.  Qantas operates 28 return services a week from London Heathrow to Australia via Singapore, Bangkok and Hong Kong.  Domestic airlines include Qantas, Jetstar and SkyWest.
