Canada offers a wealth of holiday opportunities, whether you choose to travel in the company of others on an escorted holiday or explore independently on a self drive tour. Wildlife encounters are also popular including our very successful collection of polar bear watching itineraries in Churchill as well as grizzly bear adventures in British Columbia.
About Canada
A truly spectacular country, the second largest in the world, Canada has a truly staggering array of uncluttered landscapes - the alpine scenery of the West Coast, the great lakes of central Canada and the rugged, weather-beaten provinces of the north and east. While the Canadian Rockies undoubtedly offer the country's most alluring scenery, the big vibrant cities of Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver add culture and excitement to the mix.
Wildlife & nature
In the eastern province of Newfoundland and Labrador it is possible to assist in the ongoing research into the area's humpback whale population, as well as spotting orcas, seals and a wide variety of pelagic birds. Grizzly and black bears can be spotted throughout Canada, with British Columbia offering a choice of remote lodges which are especially popular during the autumn when the bears take advantage of the salmon spawning season. The province also boasts some fantastic orca-watching opportunities, whilst in the north the realm of the polar bear draws wildlife lovers to Manitoba every October.
Frozen north
For those wanting to head into the frozen Canadian Arctic, we offer a number of adventurous expedition voyages. Well-known for its diverse wildlife, this area has a rich indigenous culture and spectacular scenery. For those seeking the truly remote, a voyage deep within the Arctic Circle offers pure adventure where few have ventured.
