You will be collected from Reykjavik city in the morning and transported to the Reykjanes Peninsula (around a 45 minute drive). Along the way you'll see the lava rocks that dominate this part of Iceland. Reykjanes offers some of the most fantastic and consistent waves in Iceland, the ideal spot for you to get out there and experience it.

Please note that this is not a beginners surf course - to take part you must have a least some basic surf skills and experience. You will be provided with transportation, experienced guide, pack lunch, surf board and wet suit. In the event of weather conditions changing there will be an alternative plan depending on the weather forecast, conditions and client's decision.

Experience the amazing phenomenon that is Thingvellir National Park, from a very different angle! Thingvellir is where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates meet; explore Gjabakkahellir cave - a prime example of an Icelandic lava tube. After a packed lunch (not included), it's time for snorkelling in Silfra fissure's crystal clear waters. 

Snorkel gear provided. Bring lunch, warm outdoor clothing, waterproofs, gloves, warm base and mid-layers (fleece top and warm trousers), warm socks, towel and change of clothing. Good hiking shoes recommended. Includes transfers from Reykjavik. Minimum age 14 yrs (or height 150cm).

Blue Ice - Glacier Hiking & Ice Climbing

Duration: 4 hrs (9 hrs with transfers from Reykjavik)

Departures: Year round, daily at 09:00* from Reykjavik.

This excursion takes you to the frozen glacial tongue of Solheimajokull. Accompanied by an expert guide, walk with crampons up onto the ice field where a wonderland of ice sculptures, ridges and crevasses awaits. Along the way you can try your hand at ice climbing (equipment provided) on one of the impressive ice walls. Includes approx. 4 hrs on the glacier, glacier gear and safety equipment. Bring warm clothing, rain gear and hiking boots. A stop will be made en route for you to buy lunch to take with you on the excursion *Available with transfers from Reykjavik, or meet at the Solheimajokull car park (11:30 daily for self-drive clients).

Minimum age 14 years. Level: easy.

Join in this fun and informal bike tour of Reykjavik and enjoy the fresh air and some gentle exercise. Refreshingly different from the usual city tour, the cycle route typically includes the city centre, parliament building, Aegisida, University of Iceland campus, Nordic House, catholic cathedral, the harbour and Lake Tjornin.

Possibly one of the most unique dives you'll ever experience! Two dives allow you to explore below the surface at Thingvellir, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; it is here that the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates meet. Silfra fissure is the world-class dive site, between 10-30 metres deep and with crystal clear waters - explore the lava walls and dive between the earth's crust! Supplement to take a dry-suit speciality qualification is approximately an additional £150 per licence. Snorkellers can join this trip for around £90 per person. Dive qualification requirement: PADI open water or compatible required, PADI advanced and dry suit certificates recommended. All dives are performed in a dry suit. Age limit: 18 years. 

Available with transfers from Reykjavik at 09:00 (10:00-10:30 15 Nov - 01 Jan) or meet at Thingvellir service centre/campsite (for self-drive clients).

Full Throttle - Quad Biking and Rafting

Full Throttle - Quad Biking and Rafting
Duration: 11 hrs (including transfers)

Departures: daily, at 09:00 (mid-April - mid Sep)

A superb value combi-trip for those looking for some serious adventure! Ride a quad bike along the Hellisheidi pass and alongside the Hengill volcano, racing through lava fields and lunar landscapes. In the afternoon transfer by mini-van to the rafting base camp, and experience the Hvita River on a thrilling 7km ride through crashing waves and rapids. Take advantage of the base's saunas and hot tubs, and enjoy a delicious volcanic BBQ dinner, before heading back to Reykjavik.

Minimum age 10 yrs as a passenger on the ATV, 12 yrs for rafting the whole river, 10 yrs for rafting half the river. A supplement of around £22 is payable should you wish to drive your own bike (standard price based on two sharing). A valid driving license is required to drive the quad bike.

Travel through South Iceland's fertile farming land to Seljalandsfoss waterfall where you can walk behind this magnificent curtain of water. Take an easy hike on the ancient ice of Sólheimajökull glacier followed by a leisurely stroll along the black sand beach of Reynisfjara with its famous basalt columns and caves. At Skógafoss walk right up to the 60m high, thundering waterfall and perhaps up to the top for a birds eye view of the cascading water and rainbows. On a clear day you will have an excellent view of Eyjafjallajökull and Hekla volcanoes as you drive through the foothills and may glimpse the Westman Islands, rising steeply from the ocean just off the coast.

A fantastic value combi-trip, beginning with a thrilling journey by raft down the Hvita River, before lunch and optional sauna at base camp. The afternoon is reserved for exploring the geothermal area at Haukadalur, with its famous geysers and bubbling hot springs. The 'Golden Circle' trio is completed with a visit to Gullfoss' two-tiered falls, and a walk through Thingvellir National Park, where the earth's crust splits into a great rift and you can walk between the tectonic plates. 

Minimum age 12 yrs for rafting the whole river, and 10 yrs for half the river.

NB: Winter departures offer lava caving instead of river rafting and will not include lunch.
