Airfares & Travel Information
Due to the flexible nature of our holidays and to ensure we maintain clear and concise pricing on our website we quote flight prices separately to the tour price.
Early booking, especially for the busy summer months and school holidays is key to ensuring we can offer you the lowest fares on your preferred dates.

AIRLINE CHOICES
As a responsible tour operator we want to make sure that you make the right choice when planning your trip and so hope you will find the following information helpful.
Though three airlines serve passengers travelling between the UK and Iceland, Icelandair are our favoured partners as our priority is to offer you the best service available and ensure smooth operation of your trip. Should you wish to book flights with another airline, then please contact our team.
Icelandair
![]() |
We have worked with Icelandair for many years and with an exemplary service both in terms of onboard experience and an impeccable record of on-time departures and arrivals, it's an obvious choice and partner. |

Flying from London Heathrow, Glasgow and Manchester to Keflavik International (with onward connecting flights to Akureyri in the north during the summer), the airline has linked Iceland to the UK for over 60 years and offers three classes of service to fit each passenger's needs. find out more about Icelandair » |

Iceland Express
We DO NOT book flights with Iceland Express.
Iceland Express is a low cost carrier and although their fares are occasionally cheaper than those offered by Icelandair we have, with regret, been forced to stop doing business with them. This is due to the fact that over the past couple of years they have cancelled and consolidated many flights and seriously inconvenienced a great many passengers. In addition many flights during 2011 were seriously delayed and we have made an official complaint to the Icelandic government about their conduct. This has been echoed by reports from respected Iceland Review and Icenews, and airline review websites. Should you wish to travel with Iceland Express you will need to book your flight directly with them. We would of course be pleased to make the appropriate ground arrangements in Iceland, but we can accept no responsibility for your flight arrangements.
ONWARD FLIGHTS
Flights within Iceland
Air Iceland, a division of Icelandair, operates services between the main communities within Iceland; the 'hub' is usually Reykjavik City Airport with flights to Akureyri, Isafjordur, Egilsstadir, Grimsey and the Westman Islands (using mostly 50-seater Fokker Friendship twin-prop aircraft).
Flights to Greenland
We offer trips to Greenland by means of Air Iceland flights from Reykjavik City Airport to Kulusuk, Ilulisaat, Narsarsuaq and Nuuk. Services are mostly operated by Dash 7 or Fokker Friendship twin-prop aircraft.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Baggage Allowance
Free checked-in baggage allowance on all international flights is usually 20 kg per passenger, more if you are traveling business class. For up-to-date details on hand luggage restrictions, please speak to our reservations team nearer your departure date.
Passports and Visas
Your passport must be valid for 3 months for Iceland and 6 months elsewhere, following your arrival at the foreign destination. No visas are required by British subjects (being a 'Citizen of the United Kingdom'), or any citizen of an EC country, Australia, New Zealand, Canada or the United States for Iceland. If you do not fall into one of these categories please call the embassy of the country to be visited. At the time of going to press, no inoculations were required for visitors to Iceland. However it is recommended that you check your tetanus and polio immunisations are up to date.
Health Information
The European Health Insurance Card has replaced the old E111 form. An EHIC entitles you to reduced-cost, sometimes free, medical treatment that may become necessary while you’re in a European Economic Area (EEA) country. The EHIC is issued by the Prescription Pricing Authority (PPA) and is free of charge. Visit our website for details or, once your booking is confirmed, you will be sent a Travel Tips booklet which contains information on applying for an EHIC.
Food Imports
In accordance with EU legislation, we are required to draw your attention to restrictions concerning the import of food items which cannot be brought into the EU (including the UK), from outside the EU. For details please click here »
