Air New Zealand continue to update their fleet having launched a new look with state of the art seats in economy, lie-flat beds in a new Business Premier cabin, a new Pacific Premium economy class as well as on-demand in-flight entertainment throughout its long haul aircraft.


AIR NEW ZEALAND FLEET UPDATE
With effect from 23 September 2009 Air New Zealand have announced a reduction in flights on the London-Hong Kong route from seven services a week to five services a week. Services between Hong Kong and Auckland are unaffected.

With effect from 22 May 2009, Air New Zealand Premium Economy customers are offered the same allowance as Business Premier passengers for checked and cabin baggage. This is for travel on Air New Zealand services only. The allowance for NZ001 and NZ002 where the piece system applies in Premium Economy will be 2 pieces at 32kgs per piece. For cabin baggage the allowance will be two pieces at 7kgs. For all other international Air New Zealand flights the checked baggage will be a total of 30kg and for cabin baggage it will be two pieces at 7kgs.


PACIFIC CLASS (Economy) 

With more personal space passengers can settle into their seat, adjust the headrest, and relax. Features of Air New Zealand's Pacific Premium Economy and Pacific Economy seating include:

  • Plastic back shell to minimise sensation of customer movement in the seat behind

  • Water bottle pocket for storage of water bottle

Passengers who purchase an Economy Class ticket with Air New Zealand can pay to upgrade part of their journey to Premier Economy or Business Class on a one way basis*.
