New Zealand Flights

The prices shown for our New Zealand holidays do not include flights to allow for the extensive choice of routes and fares available for travel to New Zealand, which is almost unlimited. There are also many stopover options and given that almost all of our clients choose to tailor their holiday to some extent we prefer to quote for flights based on individual requirements.
N.B. We are destination specialists and cannot offer flight only quotations. Please contact our specialist team to discuss your holiday requirements.
BOOKING NEW ZEALAND FLIGHTS
Once you have an idea of your New Zealand travel arrangements simply telephone or email us for a quotation for your flights. We’ll need to know the following information:
- your planned departure and return dates
- desired stopovers on either or both journeys
- preferred airline or preferred route (one will often dictate the other)
- your favoured cabin class (economy, premium or business)
Our sales team will then be able to secure the best fare available to suit your needs. See below for details of our preferred airlines
There is no such thing as a standard price for flights to New Zealand, costs vary according to time of year, route flown and offers available however a reasonable indication of air fare costs is £700-900 (excluding airport taxes) based on economy class.
AIRLINE INFORMATION
Our preferred airlines are Air New Zealand, Emirates and Virgin Atlantic, however we can also offer flights with many others, including British Airways/Qantas Airlines.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS
Make your arrival in New Zealand as straight forward as possible and let us arrange an airport transfer to your accommodation so that you can just relax and savour the start of your holiday. Private transfers cost as little as £38 per vehicle (1-4 passengers) and are well worth it.
PASSPORT & VISA INFORMATION
All visitors to New Zealand must carry a passport that is valid for at least three months beyond the date you intend to leave the country. UK citizens or any citizen of an EC country, Australia, Canada or the United States do not need a visa. If you do not fall into one of these categories please contact New Zealand House on 0870 005 6962.
All British passport holders travelling to the USA using a passport issued on or after 26 October 2006 on the Visa Waiver Programme (VWP) must have an ‘e-passport’ (biometric passport), which contains an integrated chip capable of storing the biographic information from the data page, a digitised photograph and other biometric information. If the passport was issued between 26 October 2005 and 25 October 2006 a Machine Readable Passport (MRP) containing a digital photograph is required
Anyone without a Machine Readable Passport will need a Visa to travel to the USA. Children and infants must have their own individual Machine Readable Passports.
If you are travelling under the Visa Waiver Programme from 12 January 2009 you must also have Travel Authorisation to the United States. You can receive authorisation by completing the online form at the US Department of Homeland Security and a decision will normally be made within seconds. Although authorisation will only become compulsory in 2009 you will be able to apply voluntarily from the beginning of August 2008. It is recommended that you do so to familiarise yourself with the new system.
DEPARTURE TAX
A departure tax of NZ$25 per person is payable by all passengers on outward international flights from Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown. Subject to change.
