WINTER: flying to Swedish Lapland is easy, especially if you are travelling from London Heathrow. Discover the World offer a number of special direct charter flights in co-operation with SAS, flying between Heathrow and Kiruna, just a short distance from the ICEHOTEL. This 3½ hour flight saves a considerable amount of time and is a real benefit to those on a short break to one of the coolest destinations in Northern Europe!

Between Heathrow and Kiruna passengers may pre-book seats 60 days in advance throughout the aircraft and we provide a full meal service with complimentary drinks. We also allow a limited number of skis to be carried free, on a first come, first served basis – even more reasons to take advantage of this exclusive service. 

SUMMER: our West Sweden self-drive trips fly direct into Gothenburg from the UK and for our Skane collection, it is a direct flight into Copenhagen, Denmark followed by a short train journey over the impressive Oresund Bridge to Malmo.

Winter Lapland trips: Heathrow-Kiruna 3½ hours (special DIRECT flight) / Heathrow-Kiruna via Stockholm 5-8 hours including time in transit (with an option to extend your stay in Stockholm)

Summer self-drives : Heathrow to Gothenburg 2 hours / Heathrow to Copenhagen 2 hours

Apart from Heathrow, flights are also available direct to Scandinavia from Manchester and, in the case of Stockholm, London City – usually with same day onward connections.

Services to Sweden and Norway are with Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) using mostly MD80 and Boeing 737-800 aircraft. On most SAS services our prices are based on the lowest available fare which means that passengers are seated towards the rear of the aircraft and charges apply to food and drinks. Free baggage allowance at the time of writing is 20kg per person, plus one small carry on item.
