Dedicated Walking Holidays
If you are looking for a dedicated walking holiday we offer choices in Iceland, Greenland and New Zealand.
Our self-guided hiking holiday in Greenland combines the adventure of day hikes with the comfort of hotel accommodation at night. A small-group hiking holiday in New Zealand really does enable you to get away from the tourist trail and explore different areas. In Iceland you don’t have to travel far to find some excellent walking trails as our week long holiday based in the South West proves, while on our Fly Drive & Hike you can experience the freedom of a fly drive holiday as well as finding plenty of time to explore on foot.
Multi-day Trails in New Zealand
If you have a passion for the great outdoors and enjoy hiking, New Zealand is the ideal holiday destination for you. Not only does it boast 9 Great Walks, such as the world famous Milford Track, but it also offers hundreds of well marked and scenic walking trails in national parks throughout the country. There is no denying that the main lure remains with the multi-day tracks – a collection of hiking trails which range from 3-5 days and take in some of the most spectacular scenery in the country. Several of these walks can be incorporated into a tailor-made touring itinerary.
Many of these tracks are located on the South Island including the highly rated Routeburn Track, which offers forested valleys, alpine passes and river flats contrasting wonderfully with the verdant coastal paths of the Abel Tasman Track. Other popular multi-day tracks include the Queen Charlotte and Hollyford Tracks. On the North Island, the Tongariro Alpine Trail, which is recognised as one of the best one day walks in the world, is one not to miss.
In Australia there are many one day and half-day trails to enjoy and are perfect to incorporate into a longer touring holiday.
