The Southern Spirit train offers a new standard in Australian luxury rail travel, with two levels of service to choose from as follows:

Gold Service
Compact, traditionally-styled cabins evoke the romance of a bygone era, offering a comfortable and relaxing journey. During the day your Twin Berth Sleeper Cabin has a comfortable three-seat lounge, converting to upper and lower sleeping berths at night. Each cabin also features a compact hide-away toilet closet, hand-basin and shower. Your cabin steward will serve daily morning tea or coffee in your cabin. Complimentary toiletries are provided and bathrobes are available on request. Enjoy a drink at the bar in the Outback Explorer Lounge and dine in the Queen Adelaide Restaurant as you watch the broad expanses of Australia’s memorable landscapes roll by.

Platinum Service
Brand new in 2008, the premium accommodation option on board The Southern Spirit offers world-class comfort in rail travel. Platinum Cabins are almost twice the size of those in Gold Service, offering a spacious lounge by day and converting to your choice of twin or double bed accommodation by night, plus a full ensuite bathroom. Panoramic windows on both sides reveal uninterrupted views of the ever-changing landscapes. Socialize in the Outback Explorer Lounge and enjoy 2-course lunches and 3-course dinners in the Queen Adelaide Restaurant, accompanied by complimentary selected Australian wines, beers and soft drink. Full breakfasts are also served in the restaurant, or in Platinum Service you can opt to treat yourself to a continental breakfast in bed, served in your room.
