Hire either snow shoes or cross-country skis for a day and explore one of the many specially marked and lit trails in the picturesque surrounds. No instruction given and the day is not guided.

Travel by snowmobile deep into the wilderness outside Saariselka and head up to a vantage point for uninterrupted views of the fells and hopefully, a sighting of the northern lights, conditions permitting. Hot drinks by the campfire before heading back. Price includes third party insurance (self-risk excess € 800). Drivers must hold a valid driving licence.

Visit a reindeer farm, learn about these delightful animals and meet their Sami herders before setting off on a short safari. The trip is open to all ages and small children must be accompanied by an adult. The longer tour also includes lunch.
