Greenland : Greenland Husky Adventure

Day 1 fly from Reykjavik City Airport over the pack ice and check in at Hotel Kulusuk for 2 nights. After lunch, have a briefing, meet the huskies and set off on your first sledge trip along the shoreline.

Day 2 a day of dog sledging across frozen ice floes to the Apusiaajik Glacier, stopping for a picnic lunch. Cross the frozen Ammassalik Fjord with spectacular mountain views and a possible stop for some ice fishing on the return journey to the hotel. 

Day 3 take a thrilling helicopter ride from Kulusuk to Tasiilaq and transfer to Hotel Ammassalik for a 2-night stay. Rest of the day at leisure. 

Days 4 choice of optional activities. 

Day 5 return to Kulusuk by helicopter then it’s onwards by plane to Reykjavik.

DEPARTURES
From the UK (via Iceland) between the 3-27 April 2012 every Tuesday and Friday; from MAN/GLA every Monday and Friday between 2-27 April (with an extra day in Reykjavik required). At the time of going to press, flights between Iceland and Kulusuk are scheduled to operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays. It is possible to tailor-make your trip by adding nights in Iceland – please contact us to discuss your travel plans.

NB The weather in Greenland can cause serious delays which can result in additional expense. Whilst we and our contacts in Iceland will do all possible to minimise these it must be understood that any such costs must be borne by participants.
