Arctic : Greenland and Wild Labrador

Beginning in Kangerlussuaq, Greenland, you will cross the Arctic circle as you journey to the Davis Strait. Enjoy a Zodiac cruise through the icebergs at Evighshedfjord before visiting the community of Kangamiut. Here you can wander past the pretty colourful houses that dot this tiny Greenlandic town. 

Sailing south you will visit Nuuk, one of the smallest capitals in the world and the political and cultural centre of Greenland. See the famous mummies, explore the markets and sample local cuisine. Continue to Canada, watching out for the whales and walrus known to frequent the waters of Baffin Bay.

Explore the 'Spirit Mountains' of Torngat Mountains National Park, the crowning jewel in Canada's federal parks. Towering peaks, immense fiords, autumn foliage and vast skies await. During zodiac cruises and hikes you may spot polar bear, black bear, caribou, wolves, whales and a dozen bird species to name just a few.

Uncover the past and present life of the Labrador Inuit, with planned stops at the abandoned site of Okak and the present day township of Hopedale. Moving across to the island of Newfoundland, visit the renowned Viking archaeological site of L'Anse aux Meadows, the charming town of Conche and Notre Dame Bay before crossing through the Narrows and ending in the beautiful town of St. John's.
