Introduction
Grise Fjord is the only settlement on Ellesmere Island, home to just 140 residents who will share with you some 4,000 years of native Arctic tradition. You will also meet the Inuits of Qaanaaq, and members of the Artist’s Co-operative at Pond Inlet on Baffin Island.
This voyage also attempts to sail to the highest latitudes of the Canadian Arctic, hoping to reach 80 degrees North if conditions allow. Other highlights include aerial sightseeing over Dobbin Bay and the chance to view a variety of Arctic wildlife such as musk oxen, walrus and countless seabirds.
