Aimed at families here at last is an opportunity to enjoy an incredible Arctic voyage with your children. Combining fun physical activities with hands-on learning about the Arctic, its history, and wildlife, this adventure offers photography lessons, tundra hikes and wildlife watches. Seeing a polar bear in the wild will be a big thrill for children and parents alike.

This family-focused adventure takes advantage of a child's natural curiosity and interest in all things gross – such as learning to identify animal scat! Hands-on, child-centred, the educational content has been designed by professional outdoor educators who are also polar specialists. Fun is essential for learning and the pristine Arctic environment provides a far more spectacular backdrop than any classroom.

The pace of this voyage may be slightly slower than on some of our other trips, allowing both children and parents to enjoy each activity to the full. The specific activities offered on this voyage will be tailored to the size and composition of the final group. On board ship, they may include things like learning about ship navigation; the study and identification of animal prints through fun quiz activities; the building of clay models; and the like. Ashore, activities may include Zodiac cruises on the lookout for seals, walrus and whales; a photography course geared to children, or the re-enactment of key moments in the history of exploration.

All children aged 10 and over are welcome on this voyage. Children and teenagers aged 10 to 17 will receive a 15% “Child Discount (not combinable with any other offers). Please note that an adult family member will be required to accompany children aged 15 and under on all activities taking place off the ship.
