Introduction

This voyage commences in Ottawa with an overnight stay before the charter flight the next day to Resolute, where you will step aboard the Akademik Ioffe. En route from Resolute to Cambridge Bay you may wish to take advantage of the opportunity to explore by kayak (optional, please ask for details) - places are available for a limited number of experienced kayakers to take to the icy waterways on excursions from the vessel. After enjoying the wonders of the Canadian Arctic the Akademik Ioffe docks at Cambridge Bay, and following disembarkation you will fly south to Edmonton for a final overnight before bidding farewell to your fellow passengers.
