Fly, Drive & Hike
Who for? The more active traveller who appreciates the great outdoors.
During the trip, which can be comfortably driven in a standard vehicle, you’ll walk among the glaciers of Skaftafell and see the iceberg lagoon at Jokulsarlon; walk on the intensely colourful rhyolite mountains of Borgarfjordur Eystri; discover the Jokulsa Canyon National Park with its waterfalls and gorges; walk around Lake Myvatn and its myriad of volcanic features and explore the stunning coastal landscapes of Snaefellsnes National Park. On driving days there will often be time for shorter hikes as well.
Remember that any of our self-drive and independent Iceland holidays can be adapted to include as much time for walking and hiking as you wish; we believe in getting you out of the car and into Iceland's stunning landscape! Please contact our team to discuss your requirements.
