Experience the amazing phenomenon that is Thingvellir National Park, from a very different angle! Thingvellir is where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates meet; explore Gjabakkahellir cave - a prime example of an Icelandic lava tube. After a packed lunch, it's time for snorkelling in Silfra fissure's crystal clear waters.

This excursion takes you to the frozen glacial tongue of Solheimajokull. Accompanied by an expert guide, walk with crampons up onto the ice field where a wonderland of ice sculptures, ridges and crevasses awaits. Along the way can try your hand at ice climbing (equipment provided) on one of the impressive ice walls. Includes approx. 4 hrs on the glacier, glacier gear and safety equipment. A challenging 6-8 hrs hike to the 'Gateway to Hell' as Mt. Experience riding the world's most pure-bred horse on a choice of riding excursions close to Hveragerdi, around a half hour drive from Reykjavik.
