Another highlight is Iceland's most popular tourist trail, the Golden Circle which boasts erupting geysers at Geysir, thundering cataracts at Gullfoss, plate-tectonics and ancient history at Thingvellir.

This trip has its fair share of impressive waterfalls too; thundering Skogafoss, enchanting Svartifoss emerging through the trees and Seljalandsfoss, arguably the most beautiful waterfall in Iceland, a cascade of water which visitors can walk behind, a remarkable experience for the sure-footed!
