Introduction
Fly over the volcano in Iceland, specifically the Eyjafjallajokull area. This is understood to offer the best view of the now solidified lava flows and fractured glacier, with the crater at its heart. The volcano is also large enough to view from a distance, at certain points in south west Iceland from on the ground (for self-drive travellers), however to get the best view we recommend tatking to the skies. This tour is based on a 3 night stay in Reykjavik.
Note the sightseeing flight is subject to weather conditions.

Iceland Volcano
This short clip shows the eruption in March at Fimmvorduhals from the ground and some stunning views of the lava flow from a helicopter. This eruption ended on 12 April and the newest Eyjafjallajokull eruption started on 14 April 2010. Due to minimal activity at present, the eruption is expected to be declared 'officially over' if the activity levels do not change by the end of May 2010.
