Transfer from from Rica Ishavshotel, Tromso to Camp Tamok, a wilderness camp about 75 mins away. This fascinating trip covers everything from grooming the huskies to learning how to drive a dog sledding team as you travel through the winter landscapes through the beautiful valley of Vass - approximate distance 16km. You will be able to drive in pairs, one driver and one passenger on each sled with the opportunity to swap around half way. Hot meal included as well as outer clothing and footwear. (Dog sledding duration is approx. 4.5 hours)

An unexpected activity for this part of the world, these engraving workshops teach you about drypoint and etching techniques. Engrave a matrix with drypoint technique, then ink and print this special souvenier.

Hike with the snowshoes to the edge of the Veines Peninsula and enjoy the dramatic views over the North Sea. A visit to the tunnels and bunkers left by the soldiers from the Second World War, where the guide will serve you with hot drinks and tell stories from the bygone era. Transfer to a nearby mountain lake. The guide will teach on how to drill a hole in the ice and the best methods of catching a fish. Please note that this excursion is weather dependant.

Get kitted in the thermal clothing for the sledge trip, pulled by a snowmobile to the frozen sea, where everyone takes part in preparing the hole to catch the
famous King Crab. Return to the fisherman’s home to enjoy the delicious and fresh king crab.

Sail out to the fjord like a fisherman to fetch the traps hopefully full of king crabs. Your catch can be prepared at the guesthouse for a tasty meal. Floatation suits provided on the trip. Please note that the operation of this excursion is weather dependant.
