3-night itinerary
Day 1 fly direct from London Heathrow to Kiruna. Transfer to the Mushers Lodge, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2 after a briefing, set off through the forest. Alternate ‘mushing’ - either drive your own dog team or sit back and relax on the guide’s sledge. Lunch is on the trail before an afternoon arrival at the Wilderness Lodge where a warming sauna may be enjoyed before dinner. Overnight stay in rooms and cabins.
Day 3 harness the teams and again alternate the mushing between two. Head back out on the trail to the Mushers Lodge, arriving in time for lunch. Afterwards, travel to the ICEHOTEL by snowmobile in time to take an optional excursion if you wish. Overnight in a Snow Room or warm room.
Day 4 time at leisure to explore the ICEHOTEL complex or perhaps take an optional excursion, before transferring to the airport for the flight back to the UK.
4-night itinerary
Day 1 fly direct from London Heathrow to Kiruna. Transfer by husky sledge to the Mushers Lodge, dinner and overnight stay.
Days 2-3 after a briefing, set off on a 2 day wilderness experience with lunch on the trail, overnighting at the Wilderness Lodge in rooms and cabins. Each person drives their own team of huskies.
Day 4 harness the teams and get back out onto the trail to the Mushers Lodge in time for lunch. Afterwards, head off to the ICEHOTEL by snowmobile in time to take an optional excursion if you wish. Overnight in a Snow Room or warm room.
Day 5 time at leisure before transferring to the airport for the flight back to the UK.
Ultimate Husky Adventure 6-night itinerary
Following a longer and more difficult trail, on this tour participants are responsible for their own team of 3 to 5 dogs including feeding, harnessing and settling them overnight.
Day 1 fly from London Heathrow to Kiruna either direct or via Stockholm. Transfer to the Mushers Lodge in time for a Welcome dinner, kit inspection and tour orientation. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 2 after a full briefing including how to drive a dog team, harness the dogs and handle the sledge as well as receiving safety instructions, set out on a short training circuit to ensure you feel comfortable and confident. Have lunch before packing the sledges and set off to our first overnight in an wilderness lodge. Sauna and dinner at the lodge.
Days 3-6 follow the trail exploring Lapland´s magnificent wilderness. The route and hours spent sledging depend upon the weather and trail conditions. Lunch is usually on the trail, prepared over a wood fire. On day 6, return to base camp for lunch, before a transferring to the famous ICEHOTEL (approx. 6km) and nearby Sami museum for a guided tour. Then transfer back to the Mushers Lodge in time for an optional 2 hour snowmobile tour before dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 7 after breakfast say farewell to the dogs and the guides before transferring to Kiruna airport in time for the flight back to the UK.
