Travelling in March

Due to popular demand we've added two extra dates to our direct flight for this season
10 and 17 March 2012
March is an excellent time to visit the Icehotel and for those who've not yet booked, offers the perfect chance to see the 22nd incarnation of the world's 'coolest' hotel.
Why travel in March?
- The longer daylight hours offer a different view of the Icehotel and the excursions taking in the surrounding forests, set against the backdrop of blue skies and low golden sunshine.
- Displays of the northern lights are often best in March, contrary to expectations. Though the longer nights of December and January allow for more potential opportunities to view the aurora, statistically, Autumn and Spring offer more intense displays.
Don't forget, we're at the peak of the 11 year cycle and sightings are already strong indicating that this season and the next will be ideal for aurora enthusiasts. - Temperatures are generally milder in March and likely to be more stable, though you can still expect to experience the sub-zero temperatures perfectly suited to an Icehotel break with an average of -10° C.
