Visit Swedish Lapland between November and March when the skies are like black velvet and you’ll have some of the best opportunities for viewing the northern lights especially at world-renowned Abisko Sky Station, which you can reach on our special direct flight. They have a special word for winter darkness in Lapland - Kaamos, the indigo blue of a star-studded sky where just a feint hint of daylight glows below the horizon. This is the time to look for the amazing aurora borealis, which can light up the night sky across the region.
