As the cornerstone of our Iceland programme and a success year after year, our Countryside Tours offer an in depth experience of the island. Popular with first and second-time visitors alike, the tours are based around several hand-picked centres and focus on different regions.

A typical tour begins with a buffet breakfast at your accommodation and time to prepare for a day of exploration by coach. You will be accompanied by an English speaking guide who will provide an informative and enthusiastic commentary as you witness stunning scenery. There will be time to stop and enjoy short walks around key places of interest along with a stop for a picnic lunch.

You’ll return home late afternoon with time to relax before enjoying your evening meal – our countryside tours are on a full board basis during the tour and breakfast only whilst in Reykjavik. Later you can take part in a choice of optional activities and you’ll often have the chance to go swimming in some of Iceland’s geothermal swimming pools.
