Introduction
The Russian icebreaker Kapitan Dranitsyn was built in Finland in 1980, and upgraded in 1999. The Kapitan Dranitsyn is virtually identical to her sister ship, the famous Kapitan Khlebnikov, and like the KK features onboard helicopters for spectacular aerial sightseeing, as well as a fleet of zodiacs for shore landings and cruises.
Facilities onboard include a sauna, heated indoor pool and gym; also a library, lecture theatre, passenger elevator and medical room. The comfortable lounge and friendly bar ensure there is always space to relax.
All cabins and suites have private facilities & ocean views, and the suites each offer a separate sitting room.
