Weddings at Lainio Snow Village

Sheltered in the snow-covered Finnish forests, Lainio is a magical winter wonderland which will leave you with lasting memories of the most important day of your life. Here you'll find the charming Lainio Snow Village, with your choice of log cabin, Teepee accommodation or the Snow Hotel itself.


		Wedding Ceremonies Your ceremony will be conducted in English and will last 10-30 minutes, depending on the type of service you would like. Please note that religious ceremonies are not possible at Lainio as they do not have a local priest, therefore the ceremonies are civil. There are two chapels on site and you have the option of marrying in the beautiful wooden St Johannes chapel (which holds up to 40 people) or the Lainio Ice Chapel, which is usually available from January to early March. Near the chapel the Lainio Krouvi restaurant provides catering and restaurant services if you wish to have a wedding meal there. A secluded honeymoon cabin with its own private sauna can be arranged for the wedding night or for the whole duration of your stay.

		Accommodation For a truly unique wedding night, experience sleeping on ice in an elaborate Ice Room, where thick polar sleeping bags make it a very cosy night. Or stay in a luxury tepee with its own sauna and sleeping loft, where you can keep a look out for the aurora borealis from your bed through the sky light windows or from the outdoor hot tub.
