Their guide, Kristófer Már, seemed impressed by the level and type of work undertaken: "This school is sending a group of students here for the first time and they have already decided to come again," he said. "Teachers, who are coming here for the third or the fourth time tell me that some of the kids, who have come here on such trips, have been so smitten by the fascination of the country that they visited Iceland with their families on summer vacation." The thirty three 16-18 year old students and four staff were one of 30 such groups visiting Iceland during the October Half Term under the wing of Discover the Living Planet.
