Easter's over, but what about next year?

Lapland

…While the memory of the long Easter weekend is still fresh, why not consider something different for next year and head to snowy Lapland. Kakslauttanen still has great snowy conditions in April so if you still want a bit of Easter fun and frolics in a cosy log cabin or perhaps an igloo, then this is the trip for you…

Kakslauttanen Igloo © Ross Payne

Our unusual long weekend is based at the Kakslauttanen Holiday Village amidst tranquil, snow-cloaked forests and is ideal for a short getaway, romantic escape or even a family break.

Choose from log cabins, glass igloos or an ice room. Those who wish can opt to spend a night in an ice igloo on an ice bed – reindeer skins and polar sleeping bag included. And, for those wanting something completely different, six glass igloos provide an uninterrupted view of the skies and if you’re lucky, you might just catch a glimpse of the northern lights before drifting off to sleep!

This holiday comes with a choice of optional snow-based activities from ice-fishing and snowmobiling to cross-country skiing, husky sledging and even a reindeer sledge safari. Plus you also get the obligatory traditional wood sauna so days can be as active or restful as you like. Also within the resort, you’ll find a cosy restaurant serving hearty Sami delicacies, a huge wood sauna, an Ice Bar, a wonderful ice chapel and an ice gallery.

Book Now
Our 3-night holiday starts from £631 per person based on four sharing a standard log cabin (please refer to our website for upgrades to an ice or glass igloo). Price includes return flights between London Heathrow and Ivalo (via Helsinki); accommodation for 3 nights in log cabin on a half board basis; fuel surcharges; airport transfers and taxes.
