Polar Voyages

Nothing beats a wildlife watching adventure and we have the perfect voyage to the southern tip of Spitsbergen with excellent opportunities for wildlife watching including cetaceans and polar bears.

Our 12-day North Atlantic Explorer holiday begins following a scenic train ride through Scotland to Oban, before embarking onboard your ship and setting sail on a voyage that takes you to stunning islands of the Faroes and through Spitsbergen’s beautiful fjords.

The North Atlantic Explorer voyage is ideal for nature lovers. The channels between the Scottish Islands offer excellent possibilities to spot minke whales, white-beaked dolphins and harbour porpoises. Then, during your two days at sea there will be plenty of time to watch for the blow of a Minke, Fin or Blue Whale and you may even encounter a pod of curious Orcas. You can view impressive glaciers that spill into the sea off the beautiful volcanic island of Jan Mayen and along the way, keep a close eye out for polar bears around Spitsbergen!

The voyage aboard Grigoriy Mikheev departs Oban (Scotland) on 2 June, and finishes in Longyearbyen (Spitsbergen) on 13 June 2007 with prices starting from £1853 per person for the voyage. Flights and any additional accommodation enroute are quoted on a tailor-made basis.
