Kiruna, Lapland - new for 2008!


Living Planet

With the launch of our direct flight to Kiruna Lapland you can now experience a spectacular school trip above the Arctic Circle. This awe-inspiring land offers a real cross-circular angle, an ideal destination to enthral, engage and educate your students.

Based around the town of Kiruna, which is located above the Arctic Circle and suitable for travel at any time of year, the trips will provide the chance to take part in various activities from husky sledging to moose safaris, as well as incorporating visits to a climate research centre, an iron ore mine plus exclusive to Discover the World, the Esrange Space Station where Virgin Galactic will be based. Between October and April there is also a good chance of seeing the aurora borealis.

New Exclusive Direct Flight to Kiruna, Lapland for 2007/08
Discover the World has just concluded a ground breaking agreement with Scandinavian Airlines to operate an exclusive scheduled charter flight series between Heathrow and Swedish Lapland on selected dates between December 2007 and April 2008.
