October Half Term Offer | Stretching Horizons Travel Conference

In collaboration with the Geographical Association we are offering a £2,000 grant for one school group to use against a field trip to Iceland. Any school can apply, you just need to let us know why you think your school should qualify for this fantastic opportunity. As a result of the grant you could organise a school trip to Iceland from as little as £340 per person (based on 20 paying passengers and 2 free staff in low season for a 3 day tour). |

This free CPD course being held on 3 July 2012 at our office in Banstead, aims to develop the use of global examples and case studies in the teaching of geography at KS3 and GCSE. Presented by experienced and inspirational course leaders, delegates will have the opportunity to discuss and evaluate a range of practical approaches to develop geography students’ global sense of place. |

There is still limited availability for a 5 day tour in Iceland for October half term. Visiting many of Iceland’s highlights such as Thingvellir National Park, Geysir, the foot of Mt Eyjafjallajokull, the famous south coast, Solheimajokull glacier, several waterfalls such as Skogafoss and much more. Many exciting optional activities can be included. The trip runs from 21-25 October 2012. *Based on 40 students and 4 free staff price includes flights and taxes, accommodation on half board basis - breakfast and evening meals except for one day when lunch is included.
